Qalim Cromer, Attorney at Law

Dedicated to Immigrant Rights Since 2009

Qalim Cromer’s journey as an advocate for immigrant rights began in Washington, D.C., where he worked with undocumented and first-generation students to expand access to higher education.

Before founding Cromer Law, Qalim served as Director of Immigration Legal Services at Catholic Charities Diocese of Monterey, where he led a team focused on removal defense and humanitarian immigration cases.

Qalim has represented clients from Mexico, Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Colombia, Venezuela, and many other countries in immigration court, humanitarian protections, and removal defense. Fluent in Spanish, he is able to clearly guide clients through the legal process.

He earned his law degree from the University of the District of Columbia, David A. Clarke School of Law, and his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). His Spanish fluency deepened during his service as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Honduras.

Qalim is known for guiding people through difficult legal processes with honesty, respect, and dignity. He takes time to understand each client’s story and works tirelessly to find a path forward that aligns with their goals and needs.

Outside of work, Qalim enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children, exploring the outdoors, and staying connected to the Central Coast community he is proud to serve.
